Dear Dr. Xus family, his close friends and associates,
I was deeply saddened to hear about the death of Dr. Rongxiang Xu. I know how difficult this must be for you. He was such a special, kind and gentle soul, unique personality and a great scientist. Even though our cooperation started only in January 2013, when he became laureate of the Golden Biatec Award for his scientific achievements and humanity, we quickly became not just good friends but also soul mates. Several meetings with him during my visit to China only confirmed the uniqueness of this great human being. I was greatly honored when he asked me to perceive him as a brother.
The scientific work of Dr. Rongxiang Xu and his last year initiative to help ten thousand cancer patients worldwide are unprecedented monument to humanity.
I know how much you all will miss him. So will I, my wife, my friends and members of the Economic Club and the International Peace Committee, of which he was and always will be a member. International Peace Committee will commemorate the work and personality of Dr. Rongxiang Xu on May 7, at its meeting in the Czech Republic and subsequently at the 104th regular assembly of Informal Economic Forum Economic Club, which will be held on Jun 10, 2015 in Bratislava.
There are no words to express our deep sorrow. We all will miss him, but his legacy will live on through all the great work and good deeds he did. He will live on in our hearts.
