Zlatý biatec: A. Merkelovej, J. D. Wolfensohnovi a V. I. Jakuninovi

Bratislava 23. januára (TASR-OTS) - Výročná cena združenia Neformálne ekonomické fórum Hospodársky klub Zlatý biatec bola založená v roku 1993. Odvtedy ju získalo aj 56 osobností zo sveta, o. i. prezident World Economic Forum prof. K. Schwab, slovinsky prezident M. Kučan, predseda Európskej komisie J Santer, ekonóm J. Sachs, politológ J. Naisbitt, český premiér V. Klaus, podnikateľ a konštruktér F. Piech, poľský prezident A. Kvasniewski, ruský prezident V. Putin, francúzsky prezident J. Chirac, nositeľ Nobelovej ceny mieru M. Yunus a český sociológ J. Keller. V uplynulom 2011. roku bolo 7 kandidátov zo zahraničia na Zlatý biatec. Na základe podnetov členstva a verejnosti boli udelené tri Zlaté biatce.
Za neúnavnú snahu o trvácnosť Európskej únie, o pevnosť eurozóny a o pokračovanie celoeurópskej integrácie sa laureátkou stala Angela Merkelová, kancelárka Nemeckej spolkovej republiky. Za myšlienkový prínos k riešeniam globálnych priorít a príkladné manažérstvo sa tejto pocty dostalo sirovi Jamesovi D. Wolfensohnovi, zakladateľovi a CEO Wolfensohn & Company a prezidentovi Svetovej banky v období rokov 1995-2005. Tretím laureátom Zlatého biatca sa stal prezident Ruských železníc Vladimir I. Jakunin za plány rozvoja železničného spojenia Ruskej federácie so štátmi Európskej únie, osobitne za myšlienku predĺženia širokorozchodnej trate v Slovenskej republike na hranicu s Rakúskom.
Slávnostné oficiálne vyhlásenie nových zahraničných a piatich domácich laureátov Zlatého biatca za rok 2011 sa uskutoční 15. marca 2012 na 91. riadnom zhromaždení a celkove 229. podujatí združenia Neformálne ekonomické fórum Hospodársky klub.

The resolution
of the Informal Economic Forum Economic Club Association of 23 January 2012 on the Golden Biatec 2011 award

The annual award of the Informal Economic Forum Economic Club Association Golden Biatec has been established in 1993. Since that time, 56 personalities from the world have been awarded it as well. There were 7 Golden Biatec candidates from abroad in 2011. On the basis of the incentives of both the members and public, three Golden Biatecs were awarded to foreign personalities in accordance with the Statute.
Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, has become the laureate for her indefatigable efforts for the sustainability of the European Union, the strength of the eurozone and the Europe-wide integration. The tributes were paid to Sir James D. Wolfensohn, the founder and CEO of Wolfensohn & Company and the President of the World Bank in 1995 – 2005 period for his contribution of thought to dealing with the global priorities and for the exemplary management. The President of the Russian Railways company, Vladimir I. Yakunin, has become third Golden Biatec laureate for the plans of the development of the railway connection of the Russia Federation and the European Union countries, distinctively for the idea of the extension of a broad-gauged railway track in the Slovak Republic to the boundary with Austria.
The ceremonial official announcement of new foreign and five home Golden Biatec 2011 laureates shall take place on 15 March 2012 at the 91st regular association meeting and the altogether 229th event of the Informal Economic Forum Economic Club Association.
